Can I bring my dog?

Of course! Four-legged friends are welcome. The additional cost is CHF 15.-/night.

Are there blackout curtains?

Yes, each room has two sets of curtains: one for sunlight, which can be controlled by the switches near the room's entrance, and a blackout curtain, which can be operated by switches near the bed.

Will there be someone at the hotel when I arrive?

It depends. Generally, someone is available during office hours, including weekends. We are always reachable by phone.

How does the self-check-in work?

Our kiosk allows you to check-in in 5 easy steps. You can start the check-in process by using your name, booking number, or QR code received. Then, the kiosk will ask for the necessary guest information and an ID document from one of the guests. Finally, you complete the payment and the room key is encoded.

Do I need to check-in online?

No, online check-in is not mandatory but recommended as it simplifies the process once you arrive at the hotel.

Can I check out after 10:00 AM?

Yes, during the check-in process, you can add a 'late checkout' option, which allows you to extend your checkout time until 12:00 for an additional CHF 20.-.

Can I check in before 2:00 PM?

If your room is ready, our automatic check-in system allows you to enter as early as 12:00 PM. However, as this depends on the previous guest’s checkout time, we can only guarantee that your room will be ready starting at 2:00 PM.

Can I check in after midnight?

Yes, it is possible to check in until 5 AM.

Do you offer breakfast?

No, but we have coffee and pastries from a local bakery available for sale in the lounge. For a more substantial breakfast, we recommend Osteria la Riva or Pasticceria Borenco.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, you can access our free WiFi RIVA-GUEST throughout the property. The network does not have a password.

Can I rent a bicycle?

We offer our bicycle for CHF 30.-/day. If you need more than one bicycle, we recommend contacting Bike Brix or Velospot.

Where can I store my bike?

Next to the hotel entrance, we have a covered and video-surveilled bike stand. You will need a lock to secure your bike.

Can I rent a stand-up paddle?

Yes, we offer our guests the possibility to rent our stand-up paddle along with all necessary accessories. Please inform the staff by the morning of the day you'd like to rent it.

Yes, on the day of check-in, you will receive an email from Ticino Turismo, and you can activate your Ticino Ticket through this email.

What is the Ticino Ticket?

The Ticino Ticket allows our guests to use public transport for free throughout Ticino, and offers a 20-30% discount on many activities in the region.

Are the rooms easily accessible?

Our rooms are located on the first floor and we do not have an elevator. Therefore, the structure is only easily accessible for those who can climb one flight of stairs to reach the rooms.
